Welcome to the new site of the Eastern States Vice Investigators Association, Inc. ESVIA, Inc. enjoys a strong tradition of providing exclusive training in the area of Illicit Drug Trafficking, Prostitution, Gambling and Gang Enforcement. ESVIA, Inc. holds its annual training Conference in Virginia Beach, Virginia the week prior to Memorial Day. I will take a few moments to give you the future direction of the Association and the elected directors who are making it become a reality.
ESVIA, Inc. is comprised of Law Enforcement personnel across the East Coast of the United States and includes Canada. Therefore, we are not only providing excellent training opportunities, but we can also put you in touch with investigators when you find that your investigation is going beyond your jurisdictional boundaries. As your investigations lead you to locations in North America, we have a sister organization Western States Vice Investigators Association. Please do not hesitate to call upon us as the need arises.
We are currently rebuilding this site and we are working extremely hard to update the site and provide useful information to our membership and prospective members.
The Director of Training, John Garafalo, is working hard throughout the entire year in preparation for the annual conference. Additionally, John is available to assist you in fulfilling your training needs throughout the calendar year. Do not hesitate to reach out to John and keep his retirement years full of informational exchange.
First Vice President Dave Carey is also available to assist you with training needs or if you need anything in Canada, Dave works for the Canadian Immigration Service. One of his cohorts Doug Cole of York Regional Police Department in Canada ensures that our training events are recorded for review by members who were unable to attend the conference for whatever reason, may it be work schedule, court schedule or the lack of an agencies fiscal funding for training, Doug is there to assist you with those needs.
In the South we have Ryan Chabot, Master at Arms, who is a detective with the Virginia Beach Police Department. Ryan ensures that only qualified law enforcement personnel are in attendance to the annual conference and become members of the Association. We are working at streamlining the publication to a point where it will be totally electronic and will ensure timely and efficient information to all members. Additionally, ESVIA, Inc. keeps an attorney on the board of directors to ensure all contracts are executed properly. Sean Rogers, donates his time an expertise to make sure ESVIA, Inc. will be here in the future to continue to work for its membership.
